Classical Coaching Lab
October 2026 - Open Coaching Lab
True Horsemanship Happens in Layers, Not Quick Fixes
If you’ve spent any time working toward true lightness, self-carriage, and classical harmony, you already know the frustration... another exercise, another gadget or a generic training tip rarely solves the root issue.
Join the Classical Coaching Lab Today! Most riders don't need another mechanical trick or exercise to add to a checklist in the arena.
What you actually need is clarity. Clarity on why your horse is bracing through the jaw, dropping in their back, falling through a shoulder, or resisting a lateral movement like a shoulder-in or half-pass.
You need to understand the underlying biomechanics, map out a clear path forward, and have a coach help you navigate the nuances as you put it into practice.
That is exactly why I created this Classical Coaching Lab.
What Is the Classical Coaching Lab?
This is a high-touch, small-group online coaching series designed to bridge the gap between classical theory and daily execution.
Whether you’re working on the ground, establishing foundational connection, or refining advanced lateral work in the saddle, this lab is built around whatever hurdle you and your horse are currently facing.
Instead of a one-off video review where you get a tip and get left on your own, we use a progressive loop of video analysis and feedback, specific homework, follow up, and feedback again... leading to real progress.
PLUS you will be part of a community going through the process with you, learning and growing alongside you and your horse.
The Power of Shared Learning
The most powerful aspect of this format isn't just getting feedback on your own horse—it's watching the process unfold for everyone else in the group.
All participants attend every live session together. By watching the break down of movement patterns, posture shifts, and rider timing across a small group of horses, your own eye sharpens exponentially. You start recognizing these patterns at home before they ever turn into training blocks.
How the Lab Works
To ensure every single participant receives deep, individualized attention and thorough answers, enrollment is strictly capped at 16 participants.
Participants are split into two working groups of 8, with both groups experiencing the exact same curriculum and schedule structure.
Each participant receives:
-
Two Video Submission Windows: Submit a 5-minute video of your groundwork or riding at the start, and a second progress video later in the series.
-
Live, In-Depth Coaching: Receive direct, detailed feedback during your group's live sessions as we break down your video on screen.
-
Tailored Homework: Walk away from each session with clear, sound ideas to work on before your next review.
-
Video Library: Participants will also have access to the entire Academy for Classical Horsemanship video library to utilize as reference and inspiration.
-
Full Access to All Live Sessions: Attend all four sessions live to absorb every coaching conversation, ask questions, and learn from your peers.
-
Full Session Recordings: Revisit the breakdowns and teachings anytime.
-
Community Interaction: Not only do you get to interact and ask questions in the Zoom calls, but you'll have access to a full community for sharing, asking questions, and staying inspired!
Live Session Schedule & Structure
Across our four sessions together, we examine exactly what's taking place between you and your horse, and build a real plan for future progress.
-
Initial Coaching Lab: We review your first video live, decode what your horse's body and behavior is telling us, identify structural or postural blocks, and map out your homework.
-
Follow-Up Coaching Lab: We review your progress video, analyze what has shifted in your horse's movement, refine your feel, and establish your next steps.
